

SANTIAGO, PUCON & THE LAKES DISTRICT (11 DAYS) 
Begging this adventure in Santiago, get a feel of the city by taking the tour visiting the colonial and modern highlights. Then, a visit to the San Cristobal Hill will surprise you with a fantastic view of the city and the surrounding Andes
On the following day, you will start with a flight to Temuco and a transfer to Pucon, where an unforgettable adventure enjoying outdoors activities awaits you. Here you will have the opportunity to relax in the thermal baths, explore the national parks and learn about the Mapuche native heritage.
The journey will continue torward Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas, overlooking Osorno Volcano. This is part of the Chilean Lakes District and one of the world’s scenic jewels. Once here, you will visit the beautiful island of Peulla in Todos los Santos Lake, the marvelous Petrohue Waterfalls, the German style Frutillar village and the mystical Chiloe Island and its seafood.

Day 2: SantiagoPANORAMIC TOUR WITH CERRO SAN CRISTÓBAL:Departing from our hotel, we drive to the civic center of Santiago to visit the Government Palace of La Moneda. We continue through the financial area and then we visit the heart of Santiago and the center of social life, the Main Square (Plaza de Armas) which is surrounded by historical buildings such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the main post office, and the National Historical Museum. Afterwards we will drive through the Barrio Bellavista with its many cultural activities, art galleries, theaters, restaurants and dance halls proceeding to the Cerro San Cristóbal, a very well-known recreational area with a fantastic view of the city. Day 4: PucónGEOMETRICAS HOT SPRINGS:Immersed in the beauty and majesty of the Villarrica National Park, near Coñaripe, the Geometricas Hot Springs are the new and original choice for thermal tourism in Chile. These hot springs are characterized by an abundant number of thermal fountains, around 60 in all. They spring from the Aihué ravine at temperatures of 176°F (80°C). Another unique characteristic that adds even more attraction to this place is the wooden footbridge that passes through the center and allows you to look around the ravine and choose your favorite pool in which to bathe. Under the footbridge, which is about 1,476 ft. long (450 m), the thermal waters flow into the pools through a wooden channel that directs the water. Private Service. Overnight at Malalhue Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast. Day 5: PucónHUERQUEHUE NATIONAL PARK:Departure from the hotel in the morning and head east 35km from Pucón to Huerquehue National Park with an area of 12,500 hectares. It is characterized by a mountainous area of medium sized peaks and an impressive beauty where valleys, hills, Araucaria (Monkey Puzzle Tree) and Lenga forests, fauna such as the Darwin frog, foxes and Condors are part of the higher elevations. Huerquehue is characterized by its many mountains and has turned into one of the favorites of nature lovers and hikers in the area. Private Service. Overnight at Malalhue Hotel. Day 6: Temuco / Puerto Mont / Puerto VarasRUTA MAPUCHE CURARREHUE:An active visit to the Cultural Museum Community Center “Aldea Intercultural Trawupeyum”, a living heritage to the Mapuche culture and community of Curarrehue. There is a display of artistic handicrafts and Mapuche cooking and an alternating program of experimental musicians of a communitarian character. In addition, there are many workshops (of a social, artistic, productive character) , video and movie, theatrical plays, music and dance get together, art expositions, seminars such as introduction to Mapuche dance and music. All this is accompanied by an impressive landscape of sharp peaks that surround the Curarrehue village. Upon return we will stop at the Mapuche community of Kilaleufu where Mrs. Irma Epulef will show us her authentic Mapuche ruka and different activities on her farm as well as relating different customs of her people. Day 7: Puerto Mont / Puerto VarasFRUTILLAR GERMAN STYLE VILLAGEFrutillar is located at the Llanquihue Lake in front of the Osorno Volcano and counts 15.500 people. Historically it has been a very important city as it was the place where the first German colonies settled. Frutillar is famous for its music festival “Las Semanas Musicales de Frutillar” that came into being in 1968 and that compromises concerts, operas, choir and jazz music. Another remarkable characteristic of Frutillar are the houses in German style, the beach and the beautiful gardens in the town. You can visit the German Colonial Museum, the amphitheater and the Forest reserve Edmundo Winckler. Shared Service. Puerto VarasOvernight at Colonos del Sur Hotel. Meals included: Breakfast. Day 8: Puerto Mont / Puerto VarasNAVIGATION TO PEULLA:You will go on a boat trip to the beautiful island of Peulla which is situated in the Todos los Santos Lake. You will depart early in the morning from Puerto Varas to Petrohué and enjoy impressive views of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco that dominate the scenery here. When you arrive at Petrohué, you will have 30 minutes break before the boat leaves to Peulla and crosses the Todos los Santos Lake. If the weather conditions allow it, you will be able to see volcano Osorno, the Puntiaguado hill and the Tronador from our boat. After your arrival at Peulla you will visit the ecological villa which is a true paradise for nature enthusiasts. A couple of hours later you will return to Puerto Varas or to Puerto Montt. From Chacao we drive directly to Dalcahue along the highway. There we can the see Chilote handicrafts, houses on stilts (palafitos) and also visit the Church of Dalcahue which has been declared Mankind’s Heritage. From there we head towards Castro, where you can have lunch at a palafito if you wish so, to head later to the Port, the handicraft market with artisans working on their different products, the Plaza with its Church of San Francisco, Castro Museum and the observation points.
